Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise has been a performer, writer, and actress in the United States for over forty years. She is most famous for her role as Ginger Grant (in the 60s TV show Gilligan's Island). The stage debut of her career started in the mid 1950s when she appeared in Two's Company, a Bettle-Davis musical. Following that, she performed on Broadway in a variety of performances until 1957 when Li'l Abner made it huge at the National Theater. The album was released by her too late for Tina that in the same year. Louise was the first to make her debut in Hollywood playing Griselda Walden on God's Small Acre, a dramatic film that debuted in 1958.The film was praised widely and Louise received the Golden Globe Award in the New Star of the Year category. In this time, she studied at the Actors Studio of New York. Lee Strasberg was her tutor. She signed on with CBS in 1964, to play Ginger Grant. Louise was a success in Hollywood and Broadway, playing somber characters in order to dispel her image as a glamour doll. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. The series also featured her as Helen Magnus in Sanctuary although in the last few years she has also made a name for herself as a director who has been successful in several well-known television series like Supernatural as well as The 100. Her birthplace was in Essex on the 28th of August, 1965. Her family relocated to Toronto when she was just three and she continued to live there throughout growing up and in adolescence. Then she settled in Vancouver following her selection for the role of Samantha Carter.
